Wonder Woman 1984

Some of my work on Wonder Woman 1984.
One of my favorite tasks was at the very beginning, when the director became interested in exploring how Diana could fly by catching clouds with her lasso.
I thought that catching a lightning, which is essentially a line in the air, could help making this concept feel plausible (in movie-logic), especially as Diana is the daughter of Zeus and is therefore connected to them. So I prepared an ani-concept to visually explain this StormRiding idea.
I also wanted to play with the idea of how Diana could learns to fly unassisted in the story: I thought that the more lightning she would catch with the divine lasso, the more the demi-goddes power hidden in her would awaken, until she would reach a point in which she is super-charged and she can temporarily fly on her own.
I was so happy to see that part of this idea made the final cut and were even used in the trailer.

Storm Riding: Ani-Concept.
An exploration I did on how Diana discovers that she can fly, by absorbing the energy of a lightning storm with the Lasso of Hestia.
I really wanted to find a way to put her trademark WWSpin in the movie, because it is awesome

Mall Robbery: Ani-Concept
Some ideas I prepared for the Act 1 sequence in the shopping mall.
From the point of view of a bunch of robbers, meeting Diana is basically like a horror movie.

I was asked to find ideas for how Diana could fight with the Lasso of Hestia in a way that focused on her acrobatic skills.

Here is a super rough 3d sketch of what I call the Flower of Light effect. Because of the optical phenomenon called Persistence of Vision, whenever Diana moves fast enough, her Lasso appears to our eyes like a shining curtain of golden light.

Some work I did on the surfaces of the Stadium, with the goal to increase the sense of scale of the structure.
