Aquaman: The Lost Kingdom

I worked on a giant mutant grasshopper on Aquaman: the Lost Kingdom. It is a tiny contribution but I am happy I was part of it! :D.

My concept art for the giant mutant grasshopper from Aquaman: The Lost Kingdom. The director wanted it to appear partly translucent and diseased. I played with Substance Painter and Arnold Render. The base sculpture was done by the amazing Abner Marin.

I had 1.5 days to offer some ideas for the scene where Topo, the giant octopus, infiltrates OceanMaster's prison. Fun fact, an octopus can squeeze through incredibly small spaces. I love doing small ani-concepts like these, it's always loads of fun.
